Social Support Groups are friendly, government funded mini-bus outings that give older people a chance to connect, make new friends, and enjoy some of Melbourne's beautiful places - like parks, art galleries, and cultural spots.

With Accent Home Care, you can take part in our government-subsidised Social Groups in Bayswater or the Yarra Ranges.
These groups offer a friendly and relaxed space where you can enjoy outings with others - trips you might not usually get the chance to do on your own. Activities are based on your interests, helping you stay independent while making new connections and enjoying social time together.

How can I join?
Three easy steps to be a part of our government funded social outings for older Melburnians.
Step 1 Call us! Call us on 03 8824 1000 and ask to join our Social Support Group
Step 2 Get assessed for funding. Contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 and ask to be assessed for the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
Step 3 Ask to be referred to Accent Home Care, and select your next adventure from our outing calendar!
Fun & connection through group activities
At Accent Home Care, our Social Support Program runs Monday - Friday from 9am until 3pm, and is designed to help you stay active, independent, and connected. We offer a range of activities that are planned around what our group members enjoy.
All sessions are run by caring, qualified staff who take the time to get to know you. We go on outings to places in Knox, the Yarra Ranges, Bayside, the City, and other nearby areas.
We also have a community bus, so we can pick you up from your home and drop you off after the group finishes.
How much do I need to pay?
This program is supported and funded by the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), helping to keep costs low for participants.
